This Cleveland girl is on 🔥!!Laila Edwards made history as the first Black woman to represent the U.S. women’s hockey team at the Olympics. She made more history on Tuesday.
Edwards, 22, scored a goal in the third period to put an emphasis on Team USA’s 5-0 shutout win over the reigning Olympic champion Canadian team.
With the goal, Edwards became the first Black woman to score for the U.S. women’s Olympic hockey team. Edwards also has two assists through four games, bringing her to three total points.
