Let’s gooooo Vincent!! 🖤🖤🖤
CC: RecessTwenty-one years ago, a five-year-old Vincent Fondale stepped onstage and grabbed the microphone to sing with his father’s band Cleveland Nostalgia.
“We’re gonna bring a guest singer up right now. All 5 years old, right?” an announcer said in a home video that Fondale shared to social media. “In about 2025, 'American Idol' contestant, probably winner: Ladies and gentlemen, Vinnie Vincent Fondale.”
“It was one year off,” Fondale, who is now 26, notes about the prediction, “but close enough.”
Fondale is indeed competing on the 24th season of “American Idol,” after a successful audition on Monday, Feb. 9. The vocalist belted out an original song, “The Sound Of Giving Up,” alongside his band Recess, in front of the show's judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
