Hey guys! Carrie Danger here and I’m the new evening host for 107.3 Alternative Cleveland.
My broadcasting journey started in 2010 in Lima, Ohio as a morning tech extraordinaire. In 2011 I was granted the opportunity to host the afternoon drive show on 95.3 WLKR in Norwalk, Ohio. For 6 years I was privileged to bring music, information, and smiles to the locals of the Firelands.
After an adventurous few years in North Carolina, I decided to move back to the Northeast Ohio and was welcomed back in at Elyria-Lorain Broadcast Company as board operator and weekend show host. During this time I also hosted “Carrie-Okee” at the local pub!
Fast forward, I find myself excited to bring you the latest in Alternative music and events around our community.
In my down time you can find me reading, hanging with my two awesome cats, and of course listening to music while doing yard work.
Hello all! As you know there was a big concert at Rocket Mortgage last night. Blink-182 came to town and took all of us back to our younger years, it was incredible! I was fortunate to be able to attend and hang out with Brady and Alyssa plus many more amazing people. Beauty School Dropout opened, sadly I didn’t see them BUT I heard they did fantastic. Today is National Twilight Zone Day! So let’s dive into a very brief history. The Twilight Zone is an American media franchise based on the anthology tv series narrated and hosted by Rod Serling. As you know episodes are in various genres including science fiction, absurdism, dystopian fiction, suspense, horror and soooo many more. Today I thought I would give a follow up to yesterday’s blog about choosing your words wisely. I was discussing this last night with a wise friend and he mentioned that most of the time the words that stick with us are throw away comments for that person that spoke them. Meaning, not everyone is maliciously trying to hurt you. Most have no idea what they said was insensitive and impactful. Hello everyone! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending my sister's college graduation in Chicago. Let me start off with how proud I am of her for not only completing college but doing it against the odds and knocking it out of the park. We are just about halfway to Halloween and today is National Paranormal Day! *cue thunder and lightning striking* For all my ghost chasing friends out there, everyday is a paranormal day. Hello all, I hope you had a great weekend! Over the weekend I was able to attend the Weathers show at Mahall’s and let me say… these guys can work a stage. It was great to see them LIVE and how they interact with the crowd and each other was refreshing. For instance, at one point Cameron Boyer was handed a fan’s phone and took a video of himself on stage singing and made sure to get the other members in the shot! We are back from a nice weekend of RSD, Earth Day and I thought I would tell you all about my Evening with Sloan at the Grog Shop! Let’s set the scene… classic Grog Shop, dark, smells like rockstar sweat and the love of music, there is a beautiful backdrop of large silver sequins.
