Music and MLB Opening Day!

Written by

Major League Baseball opening day was yesterday (March 30th) and the Guardians opening day is Friday April 7th.

So let's talk music and baseball! We start with the Pride of Progressive Field, the beat keeper, the man to get your feet stomping, the one that kept your spirits high when the team might be down... The Legend, John Adams (1951-2023) John will always be respected and missed and quite frankly Guardians games won't be the same.

When it comes to stadium events, you NEED great music. Songs with a catchy hook, something to lift you up and keep you energized about the experience.

Could you imagine a baseball game without any music? Walk on songs for the players and of course the 7th inning stretch!

I have many favs, in fact when I ask people if they like The White Stripes, sometimes I'll get "I don't know them". YES you do... everyone has heard 'Seven Nation Army' at a sporting event at least once.

The fan favs are ‘Centerfield’ by John Fogerty, ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond, ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica  and we can’t forget ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ on the organ of course.

Baseball and music go hand in hand, without those feet stomping melodies I know we would all experience a very different game.

So as we move through baseball season and you find yourself at a game, listen up and enjoy the musical addition to America’s Favorite Pastime!

Go Guardians!
